Dregen
Andreas Tyrone Svensson (born 12 June 1973 in Nässjö, Sweden), is best known as the former guitarist The Hellacopters and current guitarist of Backyard Babies and the newest member of Michael Monroe's band, replacing Ginger as guitarist.
Dregen was a founding member of the Backyard Babies in 1987, in 1994 he co-founded The Hellacopters with Entombed drummer Nicke Andersson. In 1996 he decided to leave the band after releasing two albums to focus full-time on the Backyard Babies. Dregen also played guitar in the rock supergroup Supershit 666 which consisted of Ginger (The Wildhearts) on vocals/guitar, Nicke Andersson (Hellacopters) on drums and Swedish producer Thomas Skogsberg on bass. The only Supershit666 release was an eponymous 6-track E.P. on Inferno records released in 1999. They have never played any gigs, and a minimum of rehearsing and recording time was used for the record. Both Ginger and Dregen have repeatedly said in interviews they would like to record and perhaps tour under the Supershit666 name again, but due to the hectic schedules of all artists involved no firm plans have yet been made. Dregen has performed live on many occasions with Swedish singer/songwriter Lars Winnerbäck, the two have also recorded the Rolling Stones song "Dead Flowers" for a tribute album. Dregen also recorded a live album with Dogs D'Amour frontman Tyla titled "The Poet and the Dragon". Recently Dregen also collaborated with Swedish rapper Timbuktu on the track "Tack för kaffet".
Dregen is married to the Swedish singer Pernilla Andersson.
