Scotty McCreery, Avril Lavigne Coming to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

If you like your turkey with a hearty helping of country crooning, you're in luck: "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery is playing the 2011 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

The reality champ, who made chart history when his "Clear As Day" became the first country debut album to bow atop the Billboard 200 in October, will be joined by acts including Avril Lavigne, Cee Lo Green, Mary J. Blige, Cobra starship, Rodney Atkins, Neil Diamond, Shelby Lynne, Ingrid Michaelson and more. A number of Broadway cast members, including performers from "Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark" and "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," will also join the festivities.

On Nov. 24, the annual New York City parade will be celebrating its 85th anniversary, with a musical history that ranges from the Rockettes and Kanye West and Jessica Simpson, who performed during last year's event.

If the aforementioned musicians sound like rain on your parade, you can have a monster of a time with Lady Gaga. The pop star will offer "A Very Gaga Thanksgiving" on ABC that evening, performing eight songs, preparing a Thanksgiving meal and sitting down for an interview with Katie Couric.

Canadian rockers Nickelback will also perform during halftime at the nationally televised Detroit Tigers-Green Bay Packers game, a move that's drawn an online petition that's already been signed by 15,829 outraged football fans. "Does anyone even like Nickelback?" the petition questions, clearly unfamiliar with the group's dominance of the Billboa    rd charts over the last decade.

Rosie O'Donnell doesn't get Kardashians: 'the new Gabor sisters'

Are the Kardashian sisters the new Gabors? Rosie O'Donnell thinks so.Rosie O'Donnell missed the boat on the Kardashian phenomenon, but the talk show host seems content with her castaway status.

"I've never seen any of the Kardashian shows, I don't really know the family or the story, all I know is Bruce Jenner looks weird, right?" O'Donnell mused on Tuesday.

"When that all that [happened], the writers were like, 'We've got a bunch of Kim Kardashian jokes.' And I looked at them and I went ... 'I don’t really care,' " she said.

Those writers would be for her eponymous talk show for the OWN network, where O'Donnell conducts one-on-ones with celebs, plays interactive audience games and features the odd musical act. None of which, apparently, includes the E! reality sisters.

What O'Donnell can deduce is the Kardashian family's parallel to another group of fame-seeking siblings: the Gabors.

"I think that in some ways, they're the new Gabor sisters, but I don't have time," O'Donnell said.

Hungarian socialites Eva, Zsa Zsa and Magda decamped to Hollywood to seek success in show business — and at the altar. All three sisters were married multiple times (and in one case, to the same man more than once).

But even Rosie isn't immune the family's latest drama: the demise of Kim's 72-day marriage. Or, as O'Donnell quipped, the "Sorry I Got Divorced Tour."
